Hippodrome Open Day

Sunday 23 September was Open Doors Day throughout Bo'ness.

The Hippodrome, currently undergoing major refurbishment was one of the buildings open to the public although still a 'building site'.Over 700 visitors were shown round the Hippodrome and were able to see the proposed layout of cinema seating, the colour scheme for the interior and were given a brief talk on the history of this important town centre building.

Within the next 6 months the internal fittings will be re-instated and it is expected to be open for the cinema-going public by the middle of next year, 2008.

The number of visitors shows the level of interest there is in ensuring the Hippodrome contributes to the overall regeneration of the Town.
